Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant/Accounting Clerk to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This is a reduced hours role, ~30 hours per week. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records and processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with expertise in QuickBooks and a strong background in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Responsibilities: - Process and manage Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments. - Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including invoicing and monitoring collections. - Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records and generate reports. - Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. - Assist with preparing financial statements and monthly closings. - Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of accounting activities. - Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. - Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts. - Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards. - Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and information. Requirements - Proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. - Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks. - Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. - Ability to reconcile accounts and handle discrepancies effectively. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
