Job Description :
Please note: This is currently a 6 week assignment.

Summary; 

• Handle artworks carefully using proper fine art handling
• Record object details including titles, artists, dimensions, mediums, acquisition numbers, and current condition.
• Photograph artworks according to project guidelines and attach images to records.
• Possibly apply permanent inventory tags/labels to objects or shelves as directed.
• Report damaged, or inaccurately cataloged items to the project lead.
• Follow all security, confidentiality, and environmental safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Comfortable working around valuable and fragile items.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry items up to 30lbs or as required.
• Basic computer skills: familiarity with spreadsheets or databases is a plus.
• Experience in museums, galleries, or art handling is preferred but not required (training provided).
• Reliability, professionalism, and discretion are essential.
• Requires periods of standing, bending, and walking.
• May involve working on ladders or step stools with proper supervision.
