We are seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards and delight our guests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine. Responsibilities: Prepare and present sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure the highest quality of food handling practices to maintain food safety and hygiene. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and cater to customer preferences. Maintain an organized kitchen workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are clean and in good condition. Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually enhance the dining experience. Provide exceptional service by engaging with guests when necessary, sharing knowledge about sushi preparation and ingredients. Skills: Proficient in food handling techniques and culinary skills, particularly in sushi preparation. Experience in fine dining environments with a focus on high-quality presentation. Strong knowledge of various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation processes within the food industry. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen staff. Previous experience in catering or dietary departments is a plus.
