Canine Caretaker (Dog Walker) at Green Leaf!

Job Duties:

• Walking dogs of various breeds and sizes
• Preparing and giving meals according to owner instructions
• Accurately recording feeding, bathroom, and health habits
• Follows pet schedules to assist in housebreaking puppies or other health/medical concerns
• Cleaning and sanitizing pet suites and facility areas
• Checking dogs in and out of the facility with friendly client interaction
• Removal of pet waste in accordance with company guidelines
• Completing entry and exit exams
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 16 years or older
• Prior experience is a plus, but not required
• Math/numeric skills: basic arithmetic is required
• Strong listening and speaking skills
• Organized with accurate record-keeping abilities

Working Conditions:

• Moderate to high noise level
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Effective communication skills for attentive care
• See clearly at 20 inches or less to read documents and ensure appropriate dog behavior
• See clearly at 6-20 feet to allow appropriate distance between yourself and other animals/people
