Friday, July 29, 1994 NEWS The 5A LOCAL Deaths Herman T. Latzke WATERTOWN Herman T. Latzke, age 88, of 811 Clay Watertown, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 1994, at Marquardt Memorial Manor, Watertown. He was born June 8, 1906, in Lebanon, son of John and Emma (nee Iwen) Latzke. He married Frieda Krause on Sept.

18, 1930, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 1968. He married Viola Schmidt Crass on Sept. 27, 1969, at St. John's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by wife, Viola; daughter, Delores (Charles) Boehme of Oconomowoc; stepdaughter, Dorothy (Richard) Beyer of Watertown; sons, Henry (Laura) Latzke of Melrose Park, David (Geraldine) Latzke of Bluemound, Donald (Marilyn) Latzke of Pewaukee and Waldemar (Norma) Latzke of Oconomowoc; stepson, Allen (Lenore) Crass of Menomonee Falls; 18 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Gerhard) Schaewe of West Allis, Ruth Hassler of Manitowoc, Emma (Elroy) Meyer of Knoxville, and Agnes (Fred) Fenske of Oconomowoc; brothers, John (Elsie) Latzke of Okauchee and Gerhard Latzke of Oconomowoc; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Esther Redfield; brothers, Herbert, Benjamin and Henry, and a grandson. Services will be Sunday, July 31, at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev.

Anthony Schultz officiating. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, July 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday until 11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home, Watertown, and at the church Sunday from noon to the time of services. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.

He was born in Milwaukee, on Oct. 1, 1917, son of the late August and Helen Assmann. He is a former resident of Waukesha, before moving to Port Charlotte 15 years ago. He owned Works, Bell and View was a Cleaners World War and Dye UI veteran of the U.S. Army, and past commander and life member of D.J.

Martin American Legion Post 8 in Waukesha. He is survived by daughters, Nikki Assmann of 1 Muncie, and Susan Blewett of Franklin, sons, Lee Osman of Houston, Texas, Steven Assmann of Franklin, and Jeffrey Assmann of Port Charlotte; sister, Edna Bussard of California; grandchildren, Elaine Osman of Paul Osman of Texas, Jennifer Blewett Gettings of Franklin, and Amy Blewett Willis of Franklin, and great-granddaughter, Abigail Gettings. He was the husband of the late Irene E. Assmann, and also was preceded in death by sister, Bea Sunday, and brothers, Robert Assman and Leonard Assmann. She was born in Watertown to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Krueger. She was married to Harold Schroeder who preceded her in death on 14, 1994. She was a member of Dr.

Martin Luther Church, Oconomowoc. She is survived by special friends, Michael (Heidi) Annen, Michelle (Thomas) Shaw and Mindy (Cletus) Hansen, all of Oconomowoc. She also is survived cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William in 1949. Services will be held Saturday, July 30, at 2 p.m.

at the NotbohmKreutzmann Schmidt Bartelt Funeral Home. The Rev. Dawn Mass-Moser will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Sivak of Wauwatosa resigned from his job at Nitz Hardware in Brookfield. A story in Wednesday's Freeman said he was fired from the store.
