Dispensary Shift Lead (FT) Location Sheffield, MA :
DISPENSARY SHIFT LEAD POSITION - FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE THE PASS is an adult-use recreational cannabis business led by experienced entrepreneurs from the spirits, cannabis and marketing industries. We are located in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts' southernmost town of Sheffield. The role of the Shift Leads is to ensure that established guidelines are adhered to and that procedures for the daily operations of the retail facility run smoothly. Duties include overseeing Dispensary Associates regarding on-floor transactional assistance, helping the Floor Supervisor in ensuring that staff follow all established procedures for customer facing transactions, overseeing cash management, opening and closing the dispensary as necessary onboarding & training new dispensary associates, creating/monitoring daily schedules, and maintaining the general cleanliness of the facility. The Shift Leads will embrace continued education as it relates to the cannabis industry and be a team player. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: - The primary responsibilities of the Shift Leads are to follow the instructions of the Retail Supervisor regarding customer service, customer education and cash management.
- Foster and maintain a positive work environment
- Effectively communicate all store needs to Supervisors and Managers
- Meet and exceed store sales goals and standards of performance
- Assist in training and developing newly hired Dispensary Associates
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer issues effectively
- Assist in receiving, maintaining and monitoring inventory
- Have a solid understanding of all compliance regulations provided from the Cannabis Control Commission
- Maintain and enforce controls and procedures to ensure store remains compliant
- Prepare pre shift meetings meal and break schedules, housekeeping assignments
- Open and close the store as needed and scheduled
- Support Marketing and promotions
- Ensure visual excellence through product placement, closing standards and implementation of seasonal set-ups are adhered to
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the business
- Has initiative to take on tasks, set own priorities and deadlines to problem solve in the moment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION - Customer service experience
- Cash handling experience
- Management experience preferred
- Cannabis industry experience a plus but not necessary!
- Knowledgeable about cannabis: genetics, laws, medicinal values, culture and trends of the industry.
- Prior management experience in a retail environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 6-12 months retail sales experience
- Must be 21 years or older with the ability to pass a criminal background check
- Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Physical Requirements / Work Environment: - Shift Leads must be able to stand for long periods of time with appropriate breaks.
- Shift Leads will assist in moving product throughout the facility and must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in a bustling Retail environment with music playing and voices talking.
- Weekend/holiday/evening availability required
