Job Description:

The Manager - Data Management Infrastructure will be responsible for implementing and managing data management strategies and infrastructures. This role involves working closely with project managers and business analysts to translate roadmap features into actionable tasks, ensuring the secure and efficient management of data, and aligning data management capabilities with business strategies.

Responsibilities :

• Implement the data management strategy and operating model
• Translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks with PMs or BAs
• Manage team projects, develop project plans, and ensure high staff utilization
• Provide direction and prioritize activities for team members
• Maintain communication with staff to track project status and issues
• Ensure adherence to change management and update procedures
• Develop work plans and coordinate with project team leadership
• Communicate with users and coordinate key milestones
• Manage team's documentation accuracy and consistency
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Ensure secure data management environments and backup/recovery processes
• Act as liaison between clients, vendors, and IS Teams
• Monitor system capacity demand and plan for growth
• Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into client's environment
• Guide data management tools evaluation and optimization
• Collaborate with Data Governance team to ensure data accuracy and security
• Oversee data integration processes
• Prepare disaster recovery support processes
• Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, and pay reviews

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
• 7-8 years of experience with data management tools and platforms
• At least five years of leadership responsibility
• Knowledgeable of data management platforms and workflows
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with data management platforms like Informatica, Oracle, Collibra, or Purview
• Experience in data management, business intelligence, and analytics environments

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience working for an academic medical center
• Understanding of SQL for data querying and analysis
• Advanced understanding of data quality management and governance frameworks
• Experience in software development and programming concepts
