There is a new No. 1 atop the list of best available college basketball transfer portal prospects after former Illinois standout Coleman Hawkins made his commitment to Kansas State on Friday morning. The transfers still searching for a new destination ahead of the 2024-25 season has dwindled down in recent weeks following a wave of decisions following the deadline to withdraw from the 2024 NBA Draft.

More than 2,000 players entered the transfer portal during the 45-day window this spring. None of the transfer prospects in the top 100 individual rankings are uncommitted, which means the level of talent for teams still in search of a final piece to their roster is rather low.The unprecedented amount of movement finally appears to be slowing down with the focus now turning to the upcoming campaign.
